Association Awards

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  The Jack E. Bobo Award of Excellence deadline was July 9, 2010. NAIFA is aware some associations were receiving an error message when attempting to submit their 2009-2010 Jack E. Bobo Award of Excellence on line. If an association successfully completed the fact finding section and reached 75 points or more, NAIFA staff has submitted on their behalf.  Even without submitting, NAIFA staff is able to view and score all applications.

The link to online applications is no longer available to edit or view after July 9th (or after you select submit for those applicants able).

Please feel free to contact Lacey Mitchell at lmitchell@naifa.org or 703-770-8221 with any questions.

Sample Press Release for Award Achievers

NAIFA recognizes NAIFA's state and local associations and their leaders who excel in all facets of association management. Those associations are honored each year with the Jack E. Bobo Award of Excellence, which was developed at the recommendation of the Transformation Task Force Report of April 2003. It replaces the six separate association awards given in past years.

The award is based on the critical components identified as crucial to strengthening NAIFA and increasing membership. It has been named in honor of Jack E. Bobo, CLU, FLMI, who served with distinction as NAIFA's president and as executive vice president. Additionally, Bobo is a recipient of the prestigious John Newton Russell Award.
