The Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) curriculum is based on the leadership writings of Stephen Covey, John Maxwell, Jim Collins, and Kouzes & Posner.
The institute consists of six sessions over six months:
- Session One: Identifying One’s Self
Introductions, self-assessments, and identification of personality styles and how to relate to them - Session Two: Mastering One’s Self
Leadership fundamentals, personal vision and mission - Session Three: Developing One’s Self
Application of self-mastery skills learned in Session Two - Session Four: Developing the Leader in Others
Working with others to accomplish uncommon goals - Session Five: Someday All This Will Be…Whose?
Fundamentals of an effective leader and commitment to service - Session Six: The Journey Begins – Commencement
Responsibility, renewal and hallmarks of leadership

CE (CONTINUING EDUCATION) CREDITS
Each state determines its own guidelines for granting CE credits. Individual states may choose to award credits for completing LILI.
State and local association executives working towards their CAE certification must accrue 75 hours of education. The ASAE (American Society of Association Executives) awards 36 credit hours towards the certification for completing LILI.
TUITION
Tuition is determined by the sponsor state and includes:
- Student guide
- 4 textbooks
- Journal
- Certificate & certificate holder
